Shield of the first Madrid Foot Ball Club was a very simple design. Consisted of three interlocking initials of the club, ie, the "M", the "F" and "C", that were dark blue on white shirts. But at the same time, the regulation provided that match with sets of other companies, the team should wear the Shield of the city of Madrid on the left side of the chest, replacing the Shield of the club.
The first variant dates from 1908. The lyrics took a more intertwined stylized and is inscribed in a circle. The following configuration change Shield was not until 1920, the year in which King Alfonso XIII granted the club the title Real.
For this reason he added the Crown Royal, the stylized initials were the same, and the club became known as Real Madrid Foot Ball Club. In turn, the official games, the Shield was adopted in the city together with the Bourbon crown.
